Project Overview
AOTO Electronics has partnered with NantStudios, a leading film technology company in North America, to build and launch the world’s first Dynamic Volume System (DVS) dynamic virtual production stage — Stage #2 — in California. The project deploys 2,336 AOTO RM1.5 series LED panels, delivering ultra-high-definition image quality, outstanding stability and industry-leading system compatibility to create the original WallPods system, enabling free movement and real-time reconfiguration of the stage space.
Unlike traditional fixed-volume stages, the WallPods system offers three key advantages — omnidirectional mobility, self-balancing image stability and seamless splicing — allowing directors and cinematographers to flexibly adjust layouts and scenes with true “what you see is what you get” results. Shooting efficiency is improved by more than 30%, opening a new era of dynamic creativity in virtual production.
This solution not only breaks through long-standing challenges of high cost and high entry barriers in virtual production, but also, through lightweight deployment, low-threshold operation and a standardized architecture, provides an easily replicable solution for multiple scenarios such as virtual studios, product launches and remote conferencing, accelerating the popularization and real-world adoption of virtual production.
